When you view this timeline of the evolution of Six Sigma, you might call it the original process to create Six Sigma. This is what it took to arrive at the Six Sigma methodology and all its components. With each stop making an important contribution, if any of the contributions were skipped, the end result wouldn’t have been as successful.

Of course, there isn’t any way of truly knowing unless we replicated the entire timeline and skipped some contributions, but who does that?
